Doctors Cuba is known for its doctors all over the world. Cuba sent 2,600 medical workers to Pakistan after the recent earthquake. They went to the most remote regions, effected by the disaster, where no other country would go and they stayed twice as long. Cuba has more doctors working free of charge than the World Health Organization. Cuba has performed over a million sight restoring eye operations on the poorest peoples in Central and South America. Cuba trains students from third world countries and even the U.S., free of charge. This is their foreign aid. Cuban doctors working all over the world, including Nova Scotia, are known for their expertise, compassion and care.
