Jorge Chicoy, the pearl of the south according to Fidel, was the father of Oliver who played drums in Los Primos 98. Chicoy has had an amazing career playing with almost everybody in Cuba. He now plays with Omara Portuando and spent years with Chucho Valdez and Irakere and was with Arturo Sandival together with Hilario Duran.

Jeff Goodspeed has been a freelance musician almost 30 years. Eleven years were in Ontario where he had the opportunty to sub for almost everybody. Now living in Nova Scotia, playing all the time, teaching and running the Los Primos Project.

When Chicoy saw what a great opportunity Los Primos had given his son Oliver, he wanted to help Jeff with the project. They started HavanaFax to promote Los Primos in Cuba and in Canada.
