Los Primos returns to Truro with our 3 siblings ready to perform their last big show of this Rendezvous in Nova Scotia. One of the best stages in the Maritimes, the Marigold will be the perfect place to play the final show and we will record this show.
We are looking for talented students who have been playing for one or two years and are looking to get serious about their learning.
Our Rockingham Primos under the direction of legendary drummer David Burton, had a couple of key players graduate to university, so we are looking for experienced high school level players on bass, guitar, trumpet and tenor sax.
We have had such success with the Rockingham group that we want to start a new band called the Bayview Primos which will rehearse from 4:00 to 6:00 on Tuesdays at Townie’s Music (246 Bedford Highway). We are looking for talented students who have been playing for one or two years and are looking to get serious about their learning. We are also looking to start a new group in Dartmouth, which would rehearse on Mondays from 7:00 to 9:00 at 18 Rose St.
Los Primos (the cousins) was started in 1997 when Jeff and Amara Goodspeed held the first fundraising dance to try and help Cuban music schools deal with an aging fleet of instruments that were failing fast.
